What you need
- One set per table for two to four people: borrow one or print it yourself (print files on MakerWorld) (external link).
- A table with space in the middle – the tiles spread quickly.
- Optional: a tablet or laptop with play.nummix.de (opens in a new tab) for everyone waiting, or for a second round without a set.
A flow that works
- Learning table first: one person explains the basic rules – that’s quick –, then you play an open practice round in which everyone may look at each other’s racks.
- Then play for real: games for two to four. Keep the rules with all examples open next to you – or on your phone via QR code.
- Want more? Several tables can be combined into a small tournament: the best of each table play the final together at the end. Online, play.nummix.de has its own tournament mode for this.
- Collect rule ideas: what got stuck, what was fun? Your ideas for special tiles or variants are welcome.
Tips
- A fixed date (say once a month) is easier to pass on than one-off events.
- An open learning table for newcomers next to the “real” games keeps everyone going.
- If you like, put out a donation jar – but you don’t have to.
- Taking photos? Put up the photo sign so everyone knows. For pictures in which someone is clearly recognisable as the main subject, there is a printable consent form.
- A small tournament to finish? There are certificates for places 1 to 3 and for everyone who took part.
- Everything to print – rules in brief for every table, win tally, tournament plan, poster, table tent and name badges – is on one page.
Afterwards
Send us a photo of your round (with the consent of everyone in it) and tell us how it went – via the contact form, to info@nummix.de or in our Discord community (external link). With your permission we’ll happily show it on Instagram and here.
